Our client, a leading investment bank, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the team as a Workplace Technology Manager. As an integral part of the bank, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the smooth operation of workplace technology systems, with a focus on Microsoft technologies. Your expertise in Microsoft applications will be vital in driving innovative technology solutions and enhancing productivity within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead Workplace Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive workplace technology strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of the investment bank. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and recommend technology enhancements and upgrades to ensure optimal efficiency.
Microsoft Technology Management: Oversee the management and implementation of Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging these platforms to streamline workflows, improve collaboration, and drive business outcomes.
Technology Governance and Compliance: Develop and maintain technology policies, best practices, and guidelines to ensure the security and compliance of workplace technology systems. Conduct periodic audits to identify risks and implement appropriate controls to mitigate them.</li>
Project Management: Lead technology projects related to workplace technology infrastructure, upgrades, and migrations. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and manage timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project outcomes.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party technology vendors and service providers. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure that service level agreements are met. Stay informed about vendor product roadmaps, new releases, and licensing to make informed technology decisions.
User Support and Training: Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to educate users on the effective use of Microsoft technologies.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the workplace technology landscape. Leverage automation and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and ensure seamless user experiences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience managing workplace technology infrastructure in a large organization, preferably in the financial services industry.
Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Azure, and Active Directory.
Experience in managing technology projects and leading cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) are desirable.
