This is a rare opportunity to architect the technological backbone of Hong Kong’s financial markets. We are representing a Tier-1 Financial Infrastructure Group seeking a strategic Vice President of Network Architecture.
You will serve as the "Technical Visionary" partnering with the Head of Network to modernize a mission-critical, high-frequency trading environment. This is not a maintenance role; it is a transformation role for a leader who can balance the extreme stability required by a global trading hub with the agility of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Architecture: Define the 3-5 year roadmap for the enterprise network, focusing on Ultra-Low Latency (ULL) trading fabrics, Co-location, and Cloud connectivity.
Mission-Critical Delivery: Drive end-to-end delivery of high-impact infrastructure projects, ensuring zero-downtime execution for global trading endpoints.
Modernization & Automation: Champion the shift from legacy CLI to "Infrastructure as Code" (Terraform, Ansible/Python), enabling the organization to scale capacity without expanding headcount.
Governance & Security: Design networks that are "Secure by Default," ensuring compliance with strict regulatory standards (CISA/CISSP mindset) and auditable governance.
Commercial Leadership: Manage complex vendor negotiations, procurement lifecycles, and significant project budgets.
Who We Are Looking For:
The Specialist: 15+ years of infrastructure experience, with at least 5 years in Low Latency / High-Frequency Trading (HFT) environments. Deep understanding of Multicast, Market Data feeds (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters), and FPGA/Switching (Arista/Cisco Nexus).
The Leader: Proven track record in a Tier-1 Investment Bank, Exchange, or Proprietary Trading Firm. You understand the pressure of a 24x5 live trading floor.
The Modernizer: Hands-on experience with Network Automation and SDN (Cisco ACI, VxLAN) is highly preferred.
The Communicator: Fluent in Cantonese and English. Ability to translate complex technical risk into business strategy for C-level stakeholders.
Qualifications:
University degree in IT or related discipline.
CCIE (R&S or Data Center) is highly preferred.
CISSP or CISA certifications are a strong advantage.
