Job Summary
As a Trading System Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our trading systems and providing technical support to traders, operations teams, and other stakeholders. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, monitor system performance, and actively participate in various project initiatives. Your exceptional communication skills and solid understanding of financial markets will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:
Provide first-line and second-line support for trading system-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on trading operations.
Monitor system health using various monitoring tools, promptly investigate and resolve any anomalies or alerts.
Troubleshoots complex technical issues by analyzing logs, collaborating with internal teams, and coordinating with external vendors if needed.
Maintain accurate incident records in our ticketing system, track progress, and ensure timely closure of issues.
Collaborate closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deploy new system releases and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and UAT activities to ensure a smooth transition to new versions.
Document system configurations, workflows, and procedures to ensure accurate system maintenance and support processes.
Proactively identify areas for improvement in system workflows, operational processes, and system performance.
Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to provide informed support and contribute to system enhancements.

Requirements;
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
Solid experience in supporting financial trading systems
Strong knowledge of financial markets, and asset classes including cash equities, swaps, repos, trading workflows, and industry standards.
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).
Familiarity with market data platforms (e.g., Reuters, Bloomberg) and order management systems (OMS).
Ability to analyze and interpret infrastructure logs, FIX messaging, and other system-related protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical issues.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic trading floor environment.
A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
