Trading Application Support - Leading Investment Bank

Our client is a leading investment bank and is seeking a talented individual to join as a Senior Application Support for Front to Back Office Applications. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment where you will be supporting various asset classes trading including Fixed Income, Equity Derivatives, and FX.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional support for front-to-back office applications, with a focus on Calypso and other in-house applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to front and back office systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of trading and risk management systems.

• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and testing activities.

• Develop and maintain documentation for support processes and procedures.

• Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance system performance.

Key Requirements

• Solid experience in supporting trading applications, ideally Calypso or other similar systems.

• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of front-to-middle office operations in an Investment Bank setting.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of other trading systems and financial products.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell.

• Understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial industry.

• Previous experience in a global or multicultural work environment.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
