Position Overview:
Our client is a global investment bank, as the Project Manager, you will play a critical role in facilitating the successful integration of technology systems during mergers and acquisitions. You will lead the planning, execution, and ongoing management of technology integration initiatives across multiple business lines and jurisdictions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end management of technology integration projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Develop comprehensive integration plans that define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business leaders, technology teams, legal, compliance, and risk management, to gather requirements, assess risks, and define project goals.
Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, mitigating any potential roadblocks to ensure successful project completion.
Coordinate with technology teams to evaluate existing systems and infrastructure, identifying opportunities for streamlining, standardization, and optimization.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with consulting vendors, coordinating their integration efforts to align with project timelines and requirements.
Prepare and present regular project updates and status reports to senior management and business units, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
Guide and mentor project team members, providing guidance, and support, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in technology integration, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance business processes.
Drive post-merger integration activities, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the business in capitalizing on synergies and driving operational efficiencies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Technology Integration Project Manager, preferably within the investment banking or financial services industry.
Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex project lifecycles, from planning to execution.
Solid understanding of technology infrastructure, applications, and system integration methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Language ability in Japanese would be a great plus.
Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams toward a common goal.
Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Professional certifications in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, are highly desirable.
