Technical Business Analyst - Leading Insurance Company

Our client, a leading insurer, is looking for a technical business analyst to join the team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document business processes related to life and health insurance servicing, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.

  • Conduct data integrity checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems, databases, and reports.

  • Develop and execute SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data for servicing lifecycle insights, performance metrics, and issue resolution.

  • Use Postman to test APIs, validate integrations, and troubleshoot system interactions within the servicing ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT, operations, and compliance teams, to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

  • Support the full servicing lifecycle, from policy issuance and premium processing to claims adjudication and customer inquiries, ensuring seamless end-to-end workflows.

  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and support decision-making.

  • Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies in life and health insurance to inform process improvements.

  • Participate in agile project teams, contributing to sprint planning, user stories, and testing phases.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry, with specific expertise in servicing operations.

  • In-depth knowledge of the life and health insurance servicing lifecycle, including policy administration and regulatory compliance.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and reporting; experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing, endpoint validation, and integration troubleshooting.

  • Strong skills in data integrity checks, including validation techniques, error detection, and quality assurance methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and process improvement.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate in a team setting.
