Pinpoint Asia is representing a premier, large-scale organization in Hong Kong seeking an exceptional Staff Network Engineer (Automation). This individual will be the senior hands-on expert driving the strategy and execution of their network automation transformation.

Please Note: This is not a traditional people-management role. This is a deeply technical, "doer" position for a subject matter expert who will lead from the front by designing, building, coding, and mentoring.

What You Will Do

As the senior technical expert for network automation, you will:

• Own the Automation Roadmap: Design, build, and maintain robust network automation solutions from the ground up using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and NSO.

• Be the Hands-On Expert: Personally write, test, and deploy automation scripts and playbooks for network provisioning, configuration, and compliance.

• Drive Modern Networking: Lead the technical implementation and lifecycle management of SDN (Cisco ACI) and micro-segmentation initiatives.

• Champion IaC & DevOps: Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket) and champion DevOps best practices within the infrastructure team.

• Mentor and Collaborate: Act as the go-to technical mentor for automation, collaborating closely with security, operations, and architecture teams to build scalable and secure solutions.

• Automate Everything: Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and automate operational tasks to drive continuous improvement and service stability.

What You Must Bring

This role requires a unique blend of deep networking expertise and modern automation skills.

Core Automation & DevOps Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency in scripting and automation tools, particularly Python, Ansible, and erraform.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket) and a strong Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) mindset.

• Proven experience in automating network provisioning and configuration.

• Experience with Cisco NSO is a significant advantage.

Core Networking Skills:

• Strong foundation in core networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) in a large-scale enterprise.

• Multi-vendor expertise (e.g., Cisco, Huawei, Fortinet, F5, Checkpoint).

• Demonstrable "hands-on" experience with SDN platforms (Cisco ACI/SDA).

• Working knowledge of hybrid-cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
