As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient trading technology solutions. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including business groups, software developers, and infrastructure teams, you will provide technical leadership, foresight, and expertise to ensure the trading technology remains cutting-edge and meets business objectives. Responsibilities:
Develop and document architectural solutions that align with the business objectives and desired outcomes of our investment fund trading systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand and define system requirements, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Design and implement efficient trading technology solutions, considering factors such as system integration, performance optimization, data integrity, and resilience.
Provide technical guidance and lead discussions with development teams for the implementation of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities for system improvement and innovation.
Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of our trading technology platforms.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and integrate external systems, data feeds, and trading platforms.
Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to internal teams on trading technology, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
Stay up to date with current and future market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact the trading technology systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are preferred.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, specifically within the investment fund industry or capital markets.
Strong knowledge of investment fund trading systems, order management systems, algorithmic trading platforms, and market data feeds.
In-depth expertise in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance trading technology solutions.
Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within the financial industry.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex system issues.
