Senior Technical Project Manager (Oracle XSTORE, Retail)

Pinpoint Asia is excited to partner with a leading technology group focusing on delivering in-store POS technology. They have a major project and are looking for a seasoned leader to drive the evolution of their core Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. As the new Senior Technical Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the implementation, integration, and enhancement of the company's critical Oracle XSTORE POS solution. You won't just be tracking timelines; you'll be the central hub connecting business vision with technical reality, ensuring a seamless, modern, and reliable checkout experience across all stores.

What You'll Be Doing

• Spearhead Projects: Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex XSTORE POS projects, from major version upgrades and new feature rollouts to full-scale international deployments.

• Own the Plan: Masterfully manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring clarity and predictability for all stakeholders.

• Be the Bridge: Act as the key liaison between business leaders and technical teams. Translate ambitious business requirements into clear, actionable technical deliverables.

• Orchestrate Integrations: Oversee the complex integration of the XSTORE platform with the wider enterprise ecosystem, including ERPs, payment gateways, loyalty programs, and inventory systems.

• Champion Quality: Drive the UAT planning process, manage defect triage, and ensure absolute go-live readiness to minimize disruption to store operations.

• Communicate with Clarity: Maintain impeccable documentation and provide regular, transparent updates on project status, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership.

The Skills You'll Bring to the Table

Must-Haves:

• Proven Experience: 10+ years of overall experience with a recent focus (3-4 years) on managing large-scale POS implementation projects.

• XSTORE Expertise: Hands-on project management experience with Oracle XSTORE is highly preferred. Experience with other enterprise-grade POS systems (e.g., Aptos, Diebold Nixdorf) will be considered.

• Retail DNA: A deep understanding of retail operations, in-store workflows, and how technology impacts the customer journey.

• Tech-Savvy PM: A solid grasp of system integration patterns, middleware, and APIs. You can talk comfortably with developers and architects.

• Methodology Master: Fluent in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and know when to apply them.

• Exceptional Communicator: World-class stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills are essential.

• Your Toolkit: Proficient with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with the wider Oracle Retail Suite (e.g., SIM, RPM).

• PMP, Prince2, or Scrum Master certification.

• Experience with international rollouts, including localization (multi-currency, tax, language).
