Position Overview:
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in driving the implementation and adoption of Agile principles and practices across our client's organization. You will work closely with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary facilitator and coach for multiple cross-functional scrum teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and practices.
Guide and coach scrum teams on how to self-organize, collaborate effectively, and achieve commitments.
Facilitate and lead scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with product owners to define and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Assist in identifying and removing impediments to team progress, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery process.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by encouraging experimentation and promoting a safe and collaborative environment.
Track and communicate team velocity, progress, and risks to stakeholders, providing transparency into the development process.
Promote and support Agile best practices, including test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing.
Collaborate with other scrum masters and Agile coaches to share knowledge and drive consistency across teams.
Stay up-to-date with emerging Agile and Scrum practices, and actively contribute to the evolution of our Agile framework.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
A certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in an agile software development environment.
Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, with hands-on experience in leading scrum teams and delivering software solutions.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams toward a common goal.
Solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies, with exposure to various development frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to identify and address issues across teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
