About the Client: We are representing a prominent, highly successful retail and F&B conglomerate with a massive footprint across the APAC region. To support their next decade of aggressive expansion, they are embarking on a major technological modernization: a complete, zero-to-one greenfield implementation of modern SAP solutions. They boast a dynamic, fast-paced corporate culture where IT is viewed as a strategic business partner rather than just a support function.

The Role & Landscape: This is a highly visible, business-facing role where your functional expertise will shape the core operations of the company. You will step in as the definitive Subject Matter Expert (SME) for either the Financial (FICO) or Supply Chain (SCM) workstreams.

• Greenfield Blueprinting: Drive the functional design and process mapping for a brand-new SAP implementation, ensuring the system aligns perfectly with complex retail and operational workflows.

• Business Partnership: Act as the primary liaison between senior business unit heads (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain) and the external technical delivery vendors.

• Requirements Translation: Gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications for the implementation teams.

• Change Management & Training: Guide the business through the transformation, ensuring smooth user adoption and providing functional leadership during testing and go-live phases.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience: 10 to 15 years of strong IT and SAP ecosystem experience, with a proven track record of acting as a Senior Consultant, Functional Lead, or SME on major SAP projects.

• Domain Mastery: Deep, demonstrable functional expertise in either SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) OR SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management, including MM/SD/PP).

• Language (Crucial): Absolute fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is mandatory. You must be able to confidently navigate nuanced, high-level business conversations with local and regional stakeholders. Fluent English is also required.

• Business Acumen Over Code: While you must deeply understand SAP's capabilities and limitations, this role prioritizes your ability to understand business processes and manage stakeholders over hands-on technical configuration or coding.

• Industry Knowledge: Prior exposure to Retail, F&B, or FMCG environments is highly advantageous.
