They are seeking a highly experienced, battle-tested Senior Production Trading Specialist to act as the ultimate technical authority and operational bridge on their live trading floor.
🌉 Your Role: The Senior "Bridge" & Risk Gatekeeper
This is a critical, senior-level "mission control" role. You will sit at the exact intersection of the Front Office (Traders/Quants), Core Technology (Developers/SREs), and the COO/Risk teams.
You will not just be supporting the trading desk; you will be the definitive operational authority ensuring the stability, performance, and strict risk compliance of a high-frequency trading environment.
📈 Your Core Responsibilities
Limit Management & Risk Control (Primary Focus): Take deep ownership of the firm's trading limit framework. You will manage pre-trade risk checks, fat-finger limits, and DMA exposure. You are the gatekeeper who understands both the technical implementation of limits and the business rationale behind them, handling real-time, mid-session limit adjustments safely.
Front Office Liaison: Act as the primary, senior point of contact for Portfolio Managers and Traders regarding live trading operations, order flow, and system behavior.
High-Stakes Incident Management: Serve as the senior technical responder for live trading issues. Whether it's a rogue algorithm, a FIX gateway failure, or an exchange-driven bust, you will diagnose the issue, execute the kill switch if necessary, and coordinate the technical resolution.
The COO / Tech Translation: Translate complex algorithmic or latency issues into clear business/risk impact for the COO team, while providing developers with precise, data-backed diagnostics to fix root causes.
Process Automation: Leverage your technical background to continuously automate limit monitoring, health checks, and reconciliation processes.
🛠️ Your Present Skillset
Seniority is Key: 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in a live trading environment (HFT, Prop Trading, Systematic Hedge Fund, or Tier-1 Prime Brokerage DMA desk).
Limit Management Expertise: Deep, practical experience managing electronic trading limits, pre-trade risk frameworks, and emergency protocols (kill switches) is mandatory.
Technical Foundation: You must come from a technical Production Support, SRE, or Trade Support background (not purely administrative Operations).
Tooling: Strong proficiency in exploring large datasets and automating tasks using Python (or similar scripting languages) and SQL.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of electronic trading protocols (FIX) and low-latency execution environments. Strong exposure to Equities and/or Futures.
Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate confidently and push back when necessary when dealing with high-performing Front Office and Executive (COO) stakeholders.
