Senior Low-Latency C++ Systems Architect (Market Access) - J12269

Our client is a world-leading, technology-driven quantitative investment manager that operates at the intersection of scientific research and aggressive execution. They are looking for a Senior C++ specialist to join their Market Access & Execution team—the core group responsible for the firm’s "mechanical sympathy" between high-frequency alpha and global exchange connectivity.

In this role, you will not just write code; you will engineer the firm's competitive advantage. You will own the end-to-end flow of orders across Equities, FX, Fixed Income, and Derivatives, ensuring the "time-to-market" for every trade is minimized to the absolute physical limit.

What You Will Do

• Architect & Optimize: Enhance a global market access platform to meet the extreme demands of HFT and ultra-low latency execution.

• Kernel & Networking: Implement low-level optimizations including Kernel Bypass (Solarflare/OpenOnload/DPDK) and custom network protocols to shave nanoseconds off the hot path.

• Strategic Collaboration: Work in a tight feedback loop with Quants, Traders, and Network Engineers to translate complex trading requirements into high-performance software.

• Exchange Connectivity: Deep-dive into exchange protocols (FIX/FAST/Binary) across all major global markets, with a particular focus on high-growth Asia venues.

• System Integrity: Design and maintain fail-safe, high-availability execution systems where zero-error tolerance is the standard.

Your Profile

• Expertise: 8–12+ years of professional experience in C++ (Linux). You should be comfortable with C++17/20 and have a deep understanding of memory management and lock-free programming.

• Domain Knowledge: Proven track record in Market Access, Order Entry, or Execution Systems within a premier HFT firm or a Tier-1 Investment Bank (Electronic Flow/Market Making desks).

• Technical Depth: Hands-on experience with performance tuning, CPU pinning, NUMA awareness, and hardware-software co-design.

• Mindset: A scientific, benchmark-driven approach to development. You don't guess where the bottleneck is; you measure it.

• Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between complex technical infrastructure and business-side trading needs.
