Senior DevOps Consultant (GCP & Data/AI Focus) - J12408

Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a Top-Tier Global Bank to find a Senior DevOps Consultant to join their Group Data Technology division. This is a critical role within a high-profile initiative to build a single, comprehensive data cataloguing solution that connects business processes, data products, and services across the bank’s global business units.

You will be the engineering backbone for a platform that massages vast data lakes, enables advanced querying, and supports the deployment of AI/ML models to drive business insights. Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Platform: Design, build, and maintain high-performance infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) to manage complex API workloads and data integrations.

• Pipeline Automation: Architect and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. You will be writing complex scripted pipelines (Groovy) to automate builds, testing, and deployments for data and AI applications.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Move away from manual configurations by writing high-quality IaC using Terraform and Ansible to provision and manage hybrid and public cloud environments.

• Data & AI Integration: Work closely with data scientists and engineers to integrate Google Cloud services such as CloudSQL, MemoryStore, and MIGs into the GKE workloads.

• Security & Compliance: Ensure all pipelines and infrastructure meet strict banking security standards, integrating code scanning tools (Sonar, Checkmarx, Container Scanning) directly into the automation workflow.

• Scripting: Utilize advanced Bash/Shell and Python scripting to "glue" various tools and services together for a seamless developer experience.

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years of solid experience in DevOps, System Administration, or Platform Engineering.

• Cloud Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP). GCP Certification and Kubernetes Certification are highly preferred.

• Containerization: Expert-level skills in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts. You should be comfortable managing clusters in a production environment.

• Tooling: Strong proficiency with Jenkins (specifically scripted pipelines/Groovy), Terraform, Ansible, and Git (branching strategies for Maven/NPM).

• Monitoring: Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, or Grafana.

• Language: Strict requirement for Cantonese and Mandarin capabilities (verbal) to communicate with regional stakeholders, alongside fluent English.

• Industry Background: Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services sector is highly preferred. Candidates with a strong background in Data, AI, or Machine Learning platform engineering from other industries will be considered.
