Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join their digital application team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation testing and have experience testing mobile applications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans and test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the creation and execution of automation regression tests using the Cucumber framework and Appium.
Plan and execute performance tests using JMeter.
Handle test environments, including setting up test cases, devices, and profiles.
Develop and maintain feature files, step definitions, and element mappings for test automation.
Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate test automation into the development process smoothly.
Review test reports, ensure all tests are successful, and identify areas for improvement.
Offer technical guidance to team members and encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Coordinate with business users, QA teams, and developers to align on solutions and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Use JIRA to manage stories and test cases and track test coverage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
ideally 5+ years of experience in automation testing, including mobile application testing.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, encompassing test planning, test case design, and test execution.
Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Cucumber and Appium.
Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks.
Experience in performance testing using JMeter.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction
