Quality Assurance | Testing Analyst - Financial Institution

On behalf of our client, a prestigious financial institution at the center of Hong Kong's financial industry, Pinpoint Asia is currently recruiting meticulous and driven Quality Assurance Analysts to join a significant, large-scale project.

The Project

You will join a dynamic project team focused on delivering robust, secure, and user-friendly digital platforms. Your mission is to uphold the highest standards of quality by rigorously testing new applications and enhancements, ensuring they are free of defects and provide a seamless user experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be crucial to the project's success:

• Execute Comprehensive Testing: Conduct thorough manual and automated testing to ensure all applications meet strict business requirements for functionality, reliability, and performance.

• Design Test Scenarios: Develop, prepare, and execute clear and effective test cases, scripts, and scenarios, with a focus on critical user journeys, including online form submissions.

• Identify & Document Defects: Meticulously document and evaluate test results, logging any findings and bugs with precision in an issue tracking system (JIRA).

• Collaborate for Resolution: Work closely with developers to track defects through their lifecycle, assist in troubleshooting errors, and verify fixes.

• Report & Communicate: Provide clear and timely reports on testing progress, status, and escalate any major issues to project stakeholders to ensure transparency.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for individuals who are analytical, methodical, and work well within a team.

Professional Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in application or software testing.

• Experience in preparing structured test plans, cases, and scenarios is highly preferred.

• Direct experience in testing online forms and web applications is a strong plus.

Technical Familiarity:

• Proficiency with issue tracking tools like JIRA.

• Familiarity with test automation tools, such as Katalon, would be a significant advantage.

Personal Attributes:

• Extremely detail-minded and patient, with a self-motivated and proactive attitude.

• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.

• Good command of written and verbal communication in both English and Cantonese.
