My client, a leading insurance and financial services provider in Asia, is seeking a Project Officer (PMO) to support the efficient execution of projects. The role involves managing project resources, ensuring adherence to budgets, and maintaining project schedules. Key responsibilities include coordinating project activities, analyzing project data, generating detailed reports, and maintaining project documentation. Success in this role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, along with effective communication to collaborate with team members, management, and clients, ensuring business needs are met through outstanding project execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to ensure project needs are met and align with project timelines and objectives.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and to the highest standards.

  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports to ensure projects stay within budget.

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, reports, and meeting notes, ensuring all stakeholders have access to up-to-date information.

  • Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any issues that arise.

  • Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of project management processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology Management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or administration within an IT or digital setting.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, and experience with analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau for creating dashboards and reports.

  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools like MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
