Middle Operations Officer - Global Investment Bank - J13120

Our client, a global investment bank, is looking for a middle operations officer to cover the Structured Products trading operation duties for APAC markets.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent trade validation and review for complex exotics and structured transactions following initial trade capture to maintain high transactional data quality.

• Support daily trading and sales desk activities across Equity, Equity Derivatives, Structured Loans, FX, and Rates product lines across Asia.

• Monitor and manage trade exceptions, lifecycle events, and clearing activities while supporting end-to-end front-to-back operational controls.

• Oversee and remediate Start-of-Day and End-of-Day processing batches to ensure accurate daily Profit & Loss calculations and complete risk analyses.

• Deliver robust middle-office control services to upstream and downstream business partners to safeguard institutional trade flows.

• Drive strategic change, systems implementation, and new regulatory initiatives alongside global stakeholders to enhance automation and business capacity.

Requirements

• Hold 5 years or above direct professional experience in trade support, middle office, or market operations roles.

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or an equivalent academic discipline.

• Demonstrate a strong end-to-end understanding of structured and derivative transaction flows along with their corresponding control environments.

• Maintain a solid grasp of fundamental derivatives pricing models, risk management principles, and complex financial product characteristics.

• Exhibit high proficiency in productivity, automation, and analytics tools including Microsoft Teams, Co-pilot, Alteryx, Python, and VBA Macros.

• Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills to interact effectively with traders, sales teams, and global business partners.
