The Role & Landscape
As a Market Data Production Support Engineer, you will join a world-class team responsible for the availability, health, and optimization of real-time market data distribution platforms. You will directly face the fast-paced trading environment, managing direct exchange feeds, major vendor systems, and sophisticated in-house distribution pipelines.
Proactive Production Management:Â Conduct daily "Ready For Business" (RFB) health checks, End of Day (EOD) validations, and weekend testing to ensure seamless global trading operations.
Incident & Problem Management: Take ownership of high-severity incidents, perform rapid fault-finding across complex networks and OS layers, and drive follow-up investigations to completion using Jira.
Global Collaboration:Â Partner closely with feed integration teams and international counterparts under a seamless "follow-the-sun" support model.
Infrastructure Optimization:Â Create and refine global monitoring processes, automate manual checks via scripting, and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) simulations.
Vendor Liaison:Â Act as the technical point of contact with global stock exchanges and premier data vendors to resolve complex feed and content discrepancies.

What We Are Looking For
Systems Expertise:Â Strong foundational knowledge of Unix/Linux operating platforms, system administration principles, and command-line utilities.
Automation Mindset:Â Proven capability in Unix Shell scripting; proficiency in Python or Perl is highly advantageous for automating routine monitoring workflows.
Networking Fundamentals:Â Solid grasp of network diagnostic tools and real-time messaging technologies, including TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, and SNMP.
Domain Awareness (Preferred):Â Exposure to financial market data concepts (Equities, Options, Futures, Level 1 vs. Level 2 data structures, order books).
Vendor Familiarity (Preferred):Â Prior experience handling market data feeds or terminals from leading providers such as Bloomberg and Reuters/Refinitiv.
Soft Skills:Â Outstanding communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong sense of ownership over a mission-critical environment.
