Our client, a leading investment bank, is looking for a VP-level Low Latency Network Engineer. The selected candidate will be driving low-latency mission-critical network infrastructure across the APAC region. It is a technical SME position to provide technical expertise in network engineering. It is a VP-level perm position.

Responsibilities:
Execute change requests across various network technologies based on new design standards and business requirements.
Conduct fault investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of network issues, providing recovery and root cause analysis.
Review and implement complex changes and device upgrades in critical environments.
Deliver and implement network projects in compliance with our company’s standards and requirements.
Keep all project stakeholders informed about the project status and progress.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network processes, configurations, and procedures.
Proactively identify potential network vulnerabilities and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in low-latency networking to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineer or equivalent discipline.
Hold a CCNP or CCIE certification.
In-depth OS knowledge (operating systems processes, performance tuning, kernel bypass); as well as experience covering x86 hardware and low latency networking interfaces.
Solid UNIX / Linux systems administration experience in UNIX, Linux (RHEL) in a Bank / Financial Institution.
Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing network architecture and components, including switches, routers, wireless technologies, firewalls, VPNs, and security gateways.
Strong implementation knowledge of protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IPSec, GRE, and STP.
Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, BIND, WAN accelerators, and server load balancing is preferred.
Experience in monitoring, tuning, and scripting languages is a plus.
At least 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in a banking environment.
Willingness to rapidly learn, assimilate, and act upon large amounts of information.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
