Our client, a leading investment bank, is looking for a talented Linux DevOps Engineer to join their infrastructure team. The selected candidate will be part of their global team to support their Linux/UNIX infrastructure in a follow the sun model. Great potential and remuneration.
Responsibilities:
Provide and manage Level 3 Support for Linux Systems in a global environment.
Responsible for Linux support and projects including data center build, troubleshooting, new hardware, and software implementation, etc. Working with the global team to provide global infrastructure support.
Build a DevOps environment in managing, deploying, and debugging in a large-scale production environment.
Develop and build Perl or Python coding for the deployment platform.
Work closely with global counterparts on complex engineering issues and technical matters.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of Linux Systems support and administration experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience of the Unix Operating System with Redhat Linux.
Knowledge of Linux Systems knowledge including performance optimization, System tuning, Robustness etc.
Development experience with Python, Perl, or Shell (and/or other scripting languages).
Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Docker, and Satellite.
Ability to solve complex technical problems.
Excellent English Communications skills and interpersonal skills. This person will be collaborating with global teams.
