Legal, Compliance, and Risk Project Manager (VP Level) - Leading Investment Bank

Our client is a leading international investment bank and looking for a VP-level or equivalent Project Manager in the Legal, Compliance, and Risk domain. As a Legal, Compliance, and Risk Project Manager at the VP level, you will lead and manage regional initiatives to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for overseeing projects that enhance the bank’s risk management framework, ensuring alignment with global standards, and implementing strategies to mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead and manage regional legal, compliance, and risk projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership, legal teams, compliance officers, and risk management professionals to align project objectives with organizational goals.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and stay updated on regulation changes that may impact the bank’s operations.

• Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential legal, compliance, and operational risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the legal, compliance, and risk functions, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and documentation for senior management and regulatory bodies, providing insights and updates on project status and compliance matters.

• Training and Development: Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in legal, compliance, and risk management within the financial services industry, preferably in an investment banking environment.

• Proven track record in project management, focusing on regulatory and compliance-driven projects.

• Strong understanding of international banking regulations and risk management frameworks.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
