Lead FPGA Engineer - Quantitative Trading Firm (Relocation)

Are you an expert in FPGA development with a passion for building lightning-fast systems? Our client seeks an experienced Lead FPGA Engineer to join their elite team at a cutting-edge quantitative trading firm. In the role, you'll be instrumental in developing high-performance, ultra-low-latency hardware for automated trading systems

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire FPGA development lifecycle, from initial design and simulation to implementation and post-silicon validation

• Design and optimize hardware for our proprietary trading strategies and market data processing pipelines, focusing on minimal latency

• Work closely with developers to translate complex algorithms into efficient hardware

• Mentor engineers and drive best practices in RTL design, verification, and synthesis

• Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing new technologies to maintain our competitive edge

Requirements

• You have deep expertise in Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL

• You have a strong understanding of digital logic design and computer architecture

• You are familiar with the entire FPGA toolchain

• You have hands-on experience in high-speed digital design, including timing closure and signal integrity

• You're a strong problem-solver with excellent communication skills, leadership experience, and a collaborative mindset

• Experience in the financial industry is not required. We value raw talent and a drive to learn
