The Role & Landscape: You will join as a key leader within the global Database Infrastructure team. This is a high-impact, "player-coach" position designed for a technology leader who thrives on balancing team mentorship with direct, hands-on engineering of critical infrastructure.

• Architect & Support: Design, administer, and secure mission-critical databases across production, UAT, and development environments.

• Infrastructure Mastery: Drive initiatives around Always-on/High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), Capacity Planning, and Enterprise Data Warehousing.

• Business Partnership: Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and developers to transform complex data flow requirements into highly scalable database solutions.

• System Evolution: Design and develop robust systems to keep the firm's data architecture secure, compliant, and at the forefront of the financial services industry.

What We Are Looking For:

• Mandatory Infrastructure: Deep, proven experience managing databases in On-Premise Linux/UNIX environments. This is a strict requirement.

• Database Expertise: Extensive production DBA experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL. (Candidates with strong Oracle backgrounds are welcome, provided they are genuinely eager to learn and transition to other DBs).

• Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and guide a technical team while maintaining sharp hands-on implementation skills.

• Technical Depth: Thorough understanding of DB monitoring, performance tuning, and stringent security/permissions management.

• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting abilities in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.

• Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to Clickhouse, Snowflake, or Cloud Database administration is highly advantageous.

• Soft Skills: Impeccable attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to thrive under the pressure of a high-stakes, fast-paced financial environment.
