Our client, a leading company, is looking for a JavaScript Developer to be involved in the development and maintenance of in-house underwriting rule engines using JavaScript.

Responsibilities:
Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to underwriting processes.
Translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories to guide development efforts.
Design, develop, and implement enhancements and customizations to the Magnum Underwriting System.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure high-quality code that meets business requirements.
Conduct unit testing to verify the functionality and integration of new code with existing systems.
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, coordinating with business users to validate system performance and functionality.
Identify, document, and track defects, working with developers to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
Provide ongoing support for the Magnum Underwriting System, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting issues.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the insurance, financial services, or IT sectors.
Strong coding skills in JavaScript.
Experience or knowledge in new business and underwriting automation is a significant advantage.
Fluency in verbal and written English and Chinese (Cantonese) is essential.
Candidates with fewer years of experience will also be considered.
