Java Full-Stack Senior Engineer - Global Digital Financial Platform

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance the existing KDB+ infrastructure to support queries from native Q and other programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python.

• Improve the architecture to ensure low latency, fast data ingestion, and high availability of the database.

• Develop tools for data acquisition and loading processes.

• Ensure data quality and provide production support for various asset classes, data types, and frequencies.

• Implement modularized, microservice-based components for the platform.

• Integrate classic KDB technology with new distributed data engineering systems like Kafka and Snowflake.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide easy access to trading analytics, pricing, and market information.

• Support business units in making informed business decisions through data insights.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in KDB+ and Q language.

• Experience with other programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python.

• Familiarity with distributed data engineering systems, including Kafka and Snowflake.

• Understanding of data processing technologies and big data platforms.

• Ability to work with multi-terabyte, massively distributed systems.

• Skills in developing microservice-based components and ensuring system scalability and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in a similar role within the financial industry is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
