In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining low latency, real-time trading systems as well as crafting algorithmic trading strategies. You will collaborate with quantitative analysts and traders to translate market insights into robust software solutions that thrive in highly dynamic trading environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement scalable, low-latency, and real-time trading platforms using core Java.
Architect and enhance system components that ensure optimal performance under high transactional volumes.
Collaborate with quantitative analysts to design and code algorithmic strategies for automated and electronic trading.
Optimize and fine-tune trading algorithms to meet fast-paced market demands.
Work with FIX protocols, market data feeds, and Order Management Systems (OMS) to support robust trading operations.
Ensure seamless integration with third-party systems and data providers.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, system bugs, and technical issues proactively.
Maintain and evolve system monitoring and alert frameworks.
Partner with cross-functional teams (trading, quantitative research, operations) to continuously innovate and enhance trading infrastructure.
Proactively contribute to architectural reviews and technology strategy sessions.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for system design, code, and configuration.
Ensure all developments adhere to industry standards, compliance regulations, and internal best practices.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of development experience in low-latency, real-time, scalable trading systems.
At least 3 years specific to algorithmic strategies, automated trading, and electronic trading environments.
In-depth core Java development experience. Experience with Java GUI frameworks will be considered a plus.
Extensive knowledge in FIX protocol, market data management, and OMS integration.
Proven understanding of equities trading within Asian markets, along with quantitative analytics.
Proficiency in Python, Perl, shell scripting, and a solid background in SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experienced in deploying and managing applications in Linux/Unix environments.
Self-motivated, with strong multi-tasking and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Clear and confident communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team player.
