Our client is a prominent financial group, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Service Management (IT) and Governance Specialist to join their IT Risk team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding in IT service delivery, governance, risk management, compliance, and process optimization. The ITSM/Governance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that the IT services provided meet the business needs while adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT service management strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's business objectives.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT services against defined service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and address IT service delivery gaps and opportunities for improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks, including ITIL, COBIT, and ISO standards.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify risks and ensure that appropriate controls are in place.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain an effective IT governance framework.

  • Lead initiatives to optimize IT processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and service quality.

  • Provide guidance and support to IT teams in implementing best practices for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on ITSM and governance performance metrics and initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • ITIL Foundation certification is good to have.

  • Around 5 years of experience in IT service management, governance, or related fields.

  • Understanding of IT governance frameworks, risk management practices, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading ITSM and governance projects from inception to completion.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
