The Role & Landscape

Operating as a strategic pillar within the Chief Data Office, you will be responsible for defining how the institution's next-generation data ecosystem is structured, governed, and scaled.

• Enterprise Architecture: Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the enterprise data warehouse and data marts, establishing robust re-usable data patterns.

• AI/ML Optimization: Innovate by leveraging machine learning and data mining techniques to automate metadata classification, predict query patterns, optimize schema design, and automate ETL logic generation.

• Data Governance & Intelligence: Construct frameworks for metadata management, end-to-end data lineage tracking, and asset cataloging while defining data quality rules.

• Cloud Modernization: Provide architectural leadership for cloud data warehouse migration tasks, including mapping, validation, and driving cloud-based Proof of Concepts (POCs).

• Cross-Functional Consultation: Partner directly with senior architects, data engineers, and business analysts to translate complex business requirements into high-performing data structures.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a highly quantitative discipline.

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on data engineering and data architecture experience, strictly within the Financial Services Industry (FSI) or banking sector.

• Data Modeling Expertise: Deep, proven proficiency with enterprise data modeling tools and an advanced understanding of data layers, integration patterns, and schema design.

• Data Pipelines: Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design, framework optimization, and advanced SQL transformation logic.

• Modern Tech Exposure: Foundational exposure to cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Databricks).

• Advanced Data Concepts: A foundational grasp of data mining methods (profiling, segmentation) and machine learning concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, automated metadata extraction).
