Our client, a leading insurance group, is seeking a highly experienced Agile Project Management Director to join the IT team. The Agile Project Management Director will be responsible for leading and implementing agile methodologies across the organization's project management function. This role will require strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of agile methodologies, and a proven track record in guiding project teams to success.
Responsibilities:
Lead and guide project teams:
Promote and enforce agile project management principles, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget, and time constraints.
Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Provide guidance on agile project management best practices, resolving issues and removing obstacles to ensure project delivery.
Develop and maintain project management frameworks:
Define and implement project management frameworks, aligning them with agile principles.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of project managers, providing feedback and coaching to enhance their skills and abilities.
Establish project management metrics and reporting mechanisms, enabling project tracking, analysis, and continuous improvement.
Establish and promote agile project management practices:
Define and implement agile project management standards, processes, and tools utilizing industry best practices.
Educate and mentor project teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders, fostering a culture of agility and continuous improvement.
Drive the adoption of agile methodologies, ensuring their effective application within project teams.
Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability:
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within and across project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Encourage a mindset of continuous learning and improvement, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability.
Foster a spirit of accountability, ensuring project teams take ownership of project delivery and outcomes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 12 years of proven experience in agile project management or related roles.
Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
Experience leading and managing projects in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
Professional certifications in Agile Project Management (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP) are highly desirable.
Excellent leadership and communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage ambiguity, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in driving organizational change toward adopting agile methodologies.
