Implementation Support Specialist - Fund Trading Technology

Our client, a leading investment fund, they are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Support Specialist to join the Fund Trading Technology team. The Implementation Support Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and ongoing support of the fund trading technology platforms. Leveraging their technical expertise and industry-specific knowledge, the Specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders, including portfolio managers, traders, developers, and other technology teams to ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of the trading systems. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of investment fund operations, and trading systems, and have a proven track record of providing exceptional technical support.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements and implement necessary enhancements for the fund trading technology platforms.

• Support the deployment and integration of trading systems, including pre-and post-production activities, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption to trading operations.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the fund trading technology platforms, coordinating with developers and vendors as needed.

• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues or areas for improvement, implementing necessary measures to maintain optimal system functionality.

• Conduct end-user training and provide ongoing support to portfolio managers and traders to ensure their proficiency in utilizing the trading systems effectively.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting manuals, and system specifications, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry best practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements pertaining to fund trading technology, sharing knowledge with relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate with the broader technology team on system upgrades, migrations, and other technology-related projects, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to workflows.

• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and recommendations on system enhancements, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the investment fund industry.

• Strong technical proficiency in fund trading systems, such as Bloomberg AIM, Charles River Investment Management System, or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of investment fund operations, including trade lifecycle, order management systems, and post-trade processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues, providing innovative solutions.

• Proven ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements applicable to fund trading technology platforms.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
