Our client, a leading enterprise, is hiring a HR Business Partner for the IT Portfolio who will align human resources strategies with business objectives, collaborating with IT leaders across a population of over 100 professionals to drive organizational effectiveness and talent excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with IT leadership to translate business goals into human capital strategies across a 100+ IT professional population.

  • Design and execute team restructuring, role design, and workforce planning initiatives to build agile, future-ready IT teams.

  • Lead change management efforts and skill transformation programs to support digital transformation.

  • Address complex HR cases, including performance management, disciplinary proceedings, and conflict resolution, with fairness and compliance.

  • Develop and implement retention strategies tailored to IT talent, leveraging data-driven insights and market benchmarks.

  • Drive talent acquisition and onboarding processes for critical IT roles, collaborating with recruiting teams to attract top technical talent.

  • Champion leadership development, succession planning, and career progression frameworks for IT stakeholders.

  • Advise on compensation, benefits, and reward strategies in partnership with Total Rewards teams to ensure competitiveness and equity.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist.

  • At least 3 years of direct experience supporting IT organizations with 100+ professionals.

  • Proven expertise in team restructuring, change management, complex employee relations, and retention strategy development.

  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent are preferred.

  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable HR programs.

  • High emotional intelligence and proven influencing skills to build credibility and trust at all levels.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a track record of handling confidential and complex HR issues.

  • Proficient in HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and HR analytics tools.

  • Solid understanding of IT functions, software development lifecycles, and agile methodologies.

  • Agile mindset with experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
