Front Office Java Developer

Our client, a leading global investment bank is hiring a Cash Equities Java Developer. In this role, you will be a key player in developing cutting-edge technology solutions for the cash equities trading platform with the opportunity to work alongside industry experts and make a significant impact in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications for our cash equities trading platform.

• Collaborate with traders, quants, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.

• Optimize existing codebase and enhance system performance to ensure smooth and efficient trading operations.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and stability of the trading platform.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the technology stack and development processes.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues on time.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Strong proficiency in Java programming and experience in developing enterprise-level applications.

• Solid understanding of cash equities trading concepts and market dynamics.

• Familiarity with low-latency trading systems and algorithmic trading strategies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with electronic trading platforms and FIX protocol.

• Knowledge of financial modeling and quantitative analysis.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.

• Certification in relevant technologies or financial industry qualifications.

• Previous experience in an investment bank or financial services firm.

• Participation in open-source projects or tech communities. .
