Our client, a leading global investment bank, is looking for a proven Front Office Application Support professional to join their strategically growing EQ team in Asia.
Responsibilities:
Provide application support for high-performance EQ trading systems (including OMS, EMS, Algo Trading system, etc.)
Work directly with traders, and sales to build trusted relationships and provide timely technical/functional support
Be the subject matter expert in the related systems and the regional markets
Work with development teams regarding long-term support issues and improvements; Proactively find ways to improve the long-term stability of the trading platform
Take ownership of production issues and provide incident management
Provide project management as necessary (capacity, performance, upgrades, reporting, documentation)
Requirements:
Must have proven front office-facing application support experience; Must have direct working experience with traders, sales, etc.
Commercial experience/knowledge in EQ Trading (high-touch, OMS) Preferred; Will consider candidates with strong experience with other asset classes (eq drvt, fixed income, etc.)
Exposure to Algo trading systems and Algos
Possess energy and enthusiasm to thrive in high-pressure environments and work with demanding users
Leadership and maturity; Looking for at least 5+ years of work experience
Proficient in the following technical skills: Unix/Linux, SQL/database, perl/shell, connectivity, FIX, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
