Equity Reporting Data Analyst - Leading Investment Bank

Our client, a global investment bank, is seeking a Data and Reporting Analyst to join their Equity Trading Reporting team. The role involves performing and supporting trade data-related report generation, managing Business Intelligence platforms, and handling data extraction and data marts for internal users, including Sales and Trading Desks, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with users to understand their data and reporting requirements.

• Designing and developing reporting solutions, including building BI platforms and standalone reports for users.

• Developing reports using SQL, Business Objects, Qlikview, PERL, and Python.

• Supporting and optimizing database query performance on DB2, Sybase, and Snowflake.

• Analyzing reporting tasks to identify the most appropriate data sources and extraction techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and data analysis.

• Proficiency in PERL and Python scripting.

• Experience in developing with Sybase, DB2, Greenplum, and Snowflake.

• Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and SQL tuning.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with tools like Business Objects, Qlikview, Tableau, and Sigma is a plus.

• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
