Equities Algo Java Developer - Leading Investment Bank - J12459

Our client, a leading global investment bank, is currently expanding its prime brokerage core engineering team in Hong Kong. We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Java Developer (VP) to drive the design and development of mission-critical software solutions.

In this role, you will leverage state-of-the-art methodologies to build high-performance platform capabilities. You will be instrumental in delivering scalable, industry-aligned technology that directly impacts global trading operations and business-facing technology strategies.

Core Responsibilities

• Algo Development: Design and optimize high-performance algorithmic trading systems for Delta One products (Cash Equities, ETFs, and Index Arbitrage).

• Low-Latency Integration: Work on the critical integration between Java-based Algo systems and ultra-low-latency market data/connectivity feeds (C++).

• Quant Collaboration: Partner closely with Quants to integrate advanced trading signals and systematic strategies into the production environment.

• System Consolidation: Play a key role in the long-term goal of consolidating all platform connectivity into an in-house, ultra-low-latency framework.

• Performance Engineering: Focus on market data feed optimization and "what-if" scenario modeling to ensure reliability during high-concurrency market events.

Key Requirements

• Mandatory Algo Experience: Proven track record in developing Algorithmic Trading systems.

• Java Expertise: Mastery of Core Java for multi-threaded, high-throughput server applications.

• The "C++ Advantage": While the core system is Java, an interest or proficiency in C++ is a significant advantage, as the platform moves toward tighter low-latency connectivity integration.

• Domain Knowledge: Exposure to ETF Market Making, Index Arbitrage, Delta One, cash equities products is highly desirable.

• Technical Foundations: Deep understanding of computer architecture, network protocols, and Linux performance tuning.

• Academic Background: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
