Enterprise Architect Lead (PaaS Cloud Platform)

We’re seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to define, govern, and drive our Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud platform strategy. You’ll establish architecture principles, craft reference architectures, and steer decisions through an Architecture Design Board.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise-wide PaaS cloud architecture principles, standards, and best practices.

• Design, document, and evolve reference architectures across AWS, Azure, and AliCloud for multiple lines of business.

• Chair and facilitate the Architecture Design Board to review and approve solution designs, ensure compliance, and foster continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with development, security, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.

• Conduct technical evaluations of new PaaS services, tools, and patterns; provide recommendations and lead proof-of-concepts.

• Establish governance frameworks covering cost management, security controls, performance optimization, and compliance.

• Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native patterns (containers, serverless, microservices), DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles, or senior cloud engineering with architecture oversight.

• Hands-on expertise designing and operating AWS and Azure environments at scale.

• Deep knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu) and infrastructure as code (Ansible).

• Proficiency with Docker, Git, Jira, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps toolchains.

• Demonstrated success in establishing governance models and reference architectures.

• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and cross-cultural communication skills in English.

• Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Alibaba Cloud Certified Professional, CISSP etc

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-cloud networking, hybrid-cloud integration, and identity federation.

• Familiarity with the VMware Tanzu ecosystem or other modern application platforms.

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese.

• Background in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
