ED, Equity Derivatives Technology

Our client is a prominent financial institution, they are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join their technology team as the Executive Director of Equity Derivatives Technology. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the technology strategy and innovation within the Equity Derivatives business, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge solutions that support the trading, risk management, and operations functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the technology roadmap for the Equity Derivatives Systems Platform, aligning it with the business objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Lead a team of talented technologists to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Equity Derivatives operations and business.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and priorities, translating them into technical requirements and actionable plans.

• Drive the adoption of advanced technologies to improve the performance and scalability of the systems.

• Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure the successful delivery and integration of third-party solutions.

• Stay informed about industry trends and developments in technology and finance, providing strategic guidance and insights to senior management.

• Oversee the budget and financial planning for the Equity Derivatives Technology department, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on Equity Derivatives.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.

• Strong understanding of Equity Derivatives products, trading workflows, and risk management principles.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and modern software engineering practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
