Director, Distribution Transformation (Digital & Strategy) - Leading Insurer - J12511

Our client, a leading Life Insurer in Hong Kong, is seeking a strategic leader to transform their distribution operations. This is a pivotal role acting as the bridge between Business Stakeholders and Digital/IT teams. You will drive "Ease of Doing Business" (EODB) initiatives, ensuring that technology enables sales growth and operational efficiency across key distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Roadmap: Define and lead the strategic roadmap for distribution channels, focusing on process optimization and technology enablement (e.g., Sales Tools, Onboarding Journeys, Incentive Systems).

• Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives to revamp legacy processes and compensation systems to improve the end-to-end partner and client journey.

• MCV & Cross-Border Strategy: Drive digitalization specifically tailored for the MCV (Mainland Chinese Visitor) segment to capture market growth.

• Change Management: Champion adoption of new tools; manage stakeholder resistance and ensure seamless transition for large-scale projects.

• Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs to measure the ROI of digital initiatives and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience in Life Insurance, specifically in Business Enablement, Distribution Operations, or Digital Transformation.

• Proven track record of bridging the gap between Business needs and IT delivery (Agile/Scrum knowledge is a plus).

• Experience in managing large-scale system revamps (e.g., Compensation/Incentive systems or Sales Platforms).

• Strong command of English and Chinese (Mandarin is highly preferred) to support MCV initiatives.

• A strategic mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executives.
