We are seeking an experienced Digital IT Programme Project Manager who will drive key IT initiatives in the banking field. The ideal candidate brings extensive project management experience in banking or financial services, paired with an in-depth understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements. This role demands a proactive leader capable of managing the full project lifecycle—from planning through execution to delivery—while ensuring strict adherence to timelines, robust risk management, and clear, compelling reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead digital IT projects from conception to delivery, ensuring all phases—from requirements gathering and planning to implementation and post-launch review—are executed flawlessly.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, resource allocation, budgets, and timelines.
Ensure projects align with relevant banking regulations and industry standards.
Conduct thorough risk assessments, proactively identify issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Establish regular reporting procedures to keep stakeholders updated on progress, milestone achievements, potential risks, and adjustments to the project plan.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams—encompassing IT, operations, product management, and regulatory compliance—to ensure an integrated approach.
Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to translate strategic goals into actionable project outcomes.
Prepare, review, and deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and documentation to inform senior management and external partners.
Use strong writing and presentation skills to clearly articulate project visions, status updates, and post-project evaluations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Approximately 10 years of project management experience within the banking or financial services sector.
Proven track record in handling large-scale digital IT projects should demonstrate mastery over managing full project lifecycles.
Deep understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements, with experience integrating these standards into IT project frameworks.
Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and relevant IT project management tools.
Strong analytical skills to monitor, evaluate, and enhance project performance.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that support clear, concise, and engaging reporting and presentations.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies are highly desirable.
