DataBase Administrator, Leading Financial Institute

Our client, a top insurer, is looking for an experienced DBA to support the database infrastructure operation

Job Description:

• Responsibilities include investigating, diagnostic testing, and resolving Database System issues.

• Assist in developing new business units.

• A key member of the Database team, managing and supporting the company's IT Database system.

• Ensuring service availability and providing 24/7 support.

• Tasks include database system maintenance, server installation, patching, upgrading, and preparing performance reports.

• Responsible for implementing databases to support business applications.

• Ensure Database System infrastructure meets all compliance and security requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent required.

• Over 2 years of database administration experience in a sizable organization.

• Related Professional qualification is a plus

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on database administration experience with Oracle, MS SQL, MongoDB, MYSQL, and PostgreSQL.

• Experience in database installation, backup & recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, database monitoring, data replication, and database encryption.

• Familiarity with cloud-based database technologies is desirable.

• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and willing to take on challenges.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and vendors at different levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good command of written English and Chinese.
