Our client, a leading financial trading group is looking for a Tech Lead to design and build their IT infrastructure on Database Technology and Architecture. The ideal candidate will be leading the database architecture and build. Great opportunity to lead one of the large data transformation programmes.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, plan, and implementation of the database infrastructure architecture and platform services.
Develop and maintain cloud, infrastructure, and database reference architecture including principles, models, templates, standards, and procedures.
Deliver architectural design on Infrastructure Services that support the new Data Engineering and Analytics platform in an efficient and scalable environment.
Review the existing platforms and future infrastructure design.
Guide the infrastructure architecture strategy, roadmaps, and blueprints.
Evaluate options on Infrastructure design and build options and provide the best recommendations to the senior management.
Provide Infrastructure services best practices and governance across the technology teams.
Communicate the infrastructure program architecture with infrastructure teams, project, and application teams.
Requirements:
At least 10 years of infrastructure architecture experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Managerial and leadership experience in leading a large-scale infrastructure database structure.
Strong infrastructure experience across servers (Windows & Unix), databases, networks, and security.
Knowledge of setting up different database and storage technology, including NoSQL, Relational Databases, Object Storages, Data Lake technologies, and Microsoft SQL database, is preferred.
Professional knowledge in designing and implementing high-performance computing and network infrastructure for large-scale, cross-domain data lake/data warehouse platforms/projects is preferred.
Understanding of software deployment, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to Private / Hybrid / Public Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure) infrastructure.
Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent Communications skills in English.
Bachelor / Master's Degree from a Reputable University.
