Data Solutions Delivery Lead - Leading Investment Bank

My client - leading investment bank is seeking a skilled Data Solutions Delivery Lead to join the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and enhancing business performance through data analysis and interpretation.

Key Accountabilities:

• Gather and understand the requirements from the stakeholders to gather and understand requirements

• Create technology solutions, translating business needs into functional and non-functional specifications

• Support initial project definition and identify common/duplicated data requirements across the organization

• Ensure appropriate stakeholder sign-off on requirements

• Collaborate with architecture, security, infrastructure, and other teams to design end-to-end solutions

• Produce high-quality solution documentation covering functional, non-functional, infrastructure, data, and resiliency aspects

• Maintain ownership of the design throughout the development process

• Design and implement the supporting infrastructure (production, DR, testing)

• Ensure accurate data feeds from source systems into the consolidated data platform

• Drive the reporting development by architecting and developing dashboards using appropriate tools

• Work with stakeholders to create test strategy, scope, plans, and scenarios for validation

• Facilitate testing and secure appropriate sign-off for go-live

• Escalate risks and issues at various SDLC/Agile stages for timely actions and decisions

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in data warehouse, data modeling, and data engineering using modern platforms

• Hands-on experience working with large datasets in various formats (structured, unstructured)

• Expertise in cloud platforms and relevant data technologies

• 5+ years of experience in SQL, database design, ETL, and reporting

• Exposure to programming languages for data ingestion and processing

• Experience in business intelligence and reporting, including dashboard development

• Familiarity with DevOps practices - version control, infrastructure as code, CI/CD

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with business stakeholders

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Agile/Scrum experience preferred

• Project management experience would be an asset
