Data Scientist Lead - Leading Financial Services

Our client is a prominent financial services group, we are seeking a Data Scientist Lead for a permanent position in Hong Kong. This role involves leading a small team to deliver data-driven insights, collaborating with business units, and developing advanced analytics and machine learning models. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of data scientists and data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

• Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to optimize distribution strategies and improve agent performance.

• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to generate insights and enhance decision-making processes.

• Establish dashboards and reports to monitor critical metrics.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and IT, to align data initiatives with business goals.

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data collected from diverse sources.

• Develop and refine algorithms for agent segmentation and targeting.

• Provide actionable insights to optimize agent recruitment, retention, and efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in data analysis, specifically in machine learning and predictive modeling, with leadership experience preferred.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or PyTorch.

• Expertise in conceptualizing and building AI/ML models.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and querying.

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex datasets.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information.

• Proven experience in leading and developing high-performance teams.
