They are currently expanding their Hong Kong presence and looking for exceptional Data Engineers to join their core Data Integration team. This is not a traditional IT role; you will be building the high-performance infrastructure that powers global trading strategies.
The Role As a Data Engineer, you will be the architect of the firm’s data lifecycle. You will bridge the gap between massive, unstructured global datasets and the live trading floor. Your work directly impacts the alpha generation of some of the smartest quants in the industry.
Core Responsibilities:
Engineer Scalable Pipelines: Design and implement robust data stores and high-throughput APIs to serve internal research and trading platforms.
Alternative Data Integration: Lead the ingestion of complex, non-traditional datasets to give the firm a competitive edge.
System Health & Reliability: Build automated monitoring tools to ensure 24/7 data integrity and low-latency delivery.
Collaborative Innovation: Work side-by-side with Quants and Traders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Your Profile:
The 3+ Year Standard: You have at least 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer with a focus on data manipulation.
Python Expert: Deep proficiency in Python is mandatory (experience with Pandas, NumPy, or high-performance libraries is a plus).
SQL Specialist: Strong command of relational databases and the ability to optimize complex queries.
Engineering Mindset: You don’t just move data; you build scalable, clean, and well-documented code.
Communication: Fluent English is essential as you will be collaborating with global teams across London, New York, and Asia.
