Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.
Collaborate with business units and IT teams to establish data governance structures and processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Define and communicate data governance roles and responsibilities, fostering a culture of accountability and ownership of data assets.
Lead data governance committees and forums, driving data stewardship activities, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish data quality measurement and monitoring frameworks, leveraging appropriate technologies and methodologies to identify and rectify data quality issues.
Collaborate with data owners and business users to define data classification and access control standards, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
Develop data governance training programs and materials, delivering education sessions to raise awareness and understanding of data governance best practices throughout the organization.
Act as a subject matter expert on data governance matters, providing guidance and advice to stakeholders across the company.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to data governance, making recommendations for enhancements to our data management practices.
Monitor and report on data governance metrics and key performance indicators, providing regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in a similar role, managing data governance initiatives in a large organization, preferably within the logistics or related industry.
Solid understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices, including data classification, data quality management, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Strong knowledge of data management technologies and tools, such as data cataloging, master data management, and metadata management solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams at various levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and delivering actionable insights from data.
Professional certifications in data management or data governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) are highly desirable.
