Our client, a leading insurance group is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead the data engineering team. As the Data Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle, driving data initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery and management of data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align data engineering strategies with our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of insurance and engagement data platforms.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver data solutions.
Guide and supervise team members and vendors in data engineering tasks.
Create a single customer view for all markets by unifying data and building APIs.
Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines and integration processes.
Improve data quality and optimize ETL processes.
Establish best practices in data management and lifecycle processes.
Prepare test data and assist in test planning and execution.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver impactful customer experiences.
Oversee projects from conception to completion and anticipate future enhancements.
Stay updated on data engineering developments to meet technical and stakeholder requirements.
Provide support for data issues and change requests.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Extensive experience in .Net ETL development.
Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, and data warehouse implementations.
Proficient in ETL programming and data modeling.
Hands-on experience with real-time data streaming and data API implementation.
Familiarity with various ETL/ELT frameworks, data management, and data lifecycle processes.
Understanding of different database technologies and Data Engineering and Analytics.
Preferably experienced in Power BI, Master Data Management, and Data Governance Tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.
Strong ownership mentality and passion for continuous improvement.
