Our client, a leading global firm in the Private Wealth Management industry is seeking a highly skilled Data Business Analyst - Financial Product Accounting. The selected candidate will play a critical role in the operations by providing insightful data analysis and guidance on financial product accounting. This individual will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including Finance, Investment Management, and Technology, to optimize the financial product accounting processes, enhance data quality, and drive strategic decision-making.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial product accounting data including pricing, asset values, and position values from various data streams.

  • Develop and maintain data mapping frameworks to facilitate timely and accurate accounting calculations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define detailed requirements for financial product accounting systems and technology enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement data quality rules, monitoring tools, and exception reporting mechanisms to identify and address data quality issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

  • Drive continuous process improvements in financial product accounting, leveraging automation and innovative technologies to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, and enhance efficiency.

  • Collaborate with technology teams to design and execute test scenarios and ensure successful implementation of system enhancements or new financial product offerings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a relevant discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Business Analysis role, with exposure to financial data mapping including financial product accounting, preferably within the private wealth management or institutional industry.

  • Understanding of financial products, including equities, fixed-income securities, alternative investments, and derivatives.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Python, etc.).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
