Our client, a leading insurance group, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Data Architecture Lead with a deep understanding of Azure Cloud and a passion for leveraging advanced analytical techniques. As a Data Architecture Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise data architecture to support our evolving business needs. Perm Position.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the overall data architecture strategy, aligning it with the firm's goals and objectives.
Design and implement scalable and robust data models for capturing structured and unstructured data from various internal and external sources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data integration and data exchange requirements, ensuring seamless connectivity between different systems.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineers and analysts in the implementation and maintenance of data solutions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, integrity, and security standards.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that support business growth and competitive advantage.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements, provide insights, and shape data-driven solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Azure Cloud.
Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
Sound understanding of data modeling techniques and data integration patterns.
Experience with designing and implementing data solutions using modern data architectures (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, data virtualization).
Familiarity with data governance and data management practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
