Our client is a prestigious financial group and is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join the Cloud IT Delivery team and lead key initiatives in the technology space. The Cloud IT Delivery Project Manager will be responsible for implementing and delivering cloud-based IT projects within the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure architects, product owners, vendors, and senior leadership, to successfully execute projects that enhance our cloud capabilities while meeting business objectives. Your technical expertise, project management skills, and ability to navigate complex IT landscapes will be vital to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:


Project Management:

  • Plan, executed, and oversaw cloud IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring project goals were achieved on time and within budget.

  • Establish project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and monitor progress using project management methodologies.

  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, taking appropriate actions to mitigate impact.

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.


Cloud Infrastructure Delivery:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud technologies and contribute to the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions.

  • Coordinate with infrastructure architects to assess technical feasibility, cost, and resource requirements for new cloud projects.

  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select cloud service providers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security requirements.

  • Monitor and evaluate cloud infrastructure performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.


Team Leadership:

  • Led a team of cloud engineers and coordinated their activities to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge-sharing and growth opportunities.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members, helping them develop their technical and project management competencies.

Requirements:


  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, preferably in a cloud-focused role within the financial industry.

  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to navigate and influence in a matrix organizational structure, collaborating with various teams and senior leadership.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving business objectives.
